Back-to-School Drive
The Franciscan Connection offers emergency assistance
to the low-income families in south St. Louis city.
During the next few weeks, the friars will once again be collecting school supplies
for the disadvantaged kids of their neighborhood.
Would you like to help a child begin their school year full of excitement and joy,
equipped with the tools they need to succeed in the classroom?
If so, use the checklist below to do a little extra shopping this summer.
Then bring your "kit" back here to our (office/church/next meeting/etc.).
We hope to deliver all contributions to the Franciscan Connection by August 10th
so that they can be distributed to needy families before school starts.
Sample Checklist:
1 pack of wide-ruled looseleaf paper
3 spiral bound wide-ruled notebooks
3 folders
1 box of crayons or markers
1 bottle of glue or gluestick
1 dozen No. 2 pencils
5 black or blue pens
2 red pens
1 pencil case
1 large eraser
1 pair of scissors
1 twelve inch ruler
If possible, One Back Pack, too! (Optional)
